Greeting Brother Knights!
It has been a genuinely busy year and to put it into a few words “you done good”! As we transition into a new fiscal year a short reflection of what you accomplished is in order!
First, as a council we exceeded our membership goal by 400%, and welcome each new member, not just for joining our order but for significantly lowering our average age.You have achieved a four-star award for your efforts, something our council has never accomplished in our 108-year history.
Second, Our Financial Secretary Matt, was recognized as the “Knight of the Year” a most deserving and esteemed honor.
Third, the “Roundtable” received the “Faith in Action, Family Award” and again, well deserved, the Roundtable is a definitely a shining example of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.
Fourth, (drum roll) You, and I mean each of you, received “Council of the Year Award” why? Several reasons, the accumulative contributions Council 1872 makes to our Church, School, Christian Community and the many charities we support annually. Also, we have absolutely the most efficient, professional Financial Secretary in the state who faithfully reports our accomplishments. And most importantly we share and embrace our Catholic values, putting them into action by reaching out, saying yes, rolling up our sleeves and “getting it done.”
Take a bow, it was an extraordinary year.
As we progress into the next fiscal year, I welcome Andrew as the “new and improved” Grand Knight and simply ask that you support Andrew as you have me.
Now I must go fishing!
