Father Luke Sheehan Council #1872
Bend, Oregon
A Catholic Men's Fraternal Organization - Dedicated to the Support of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and School, Youth and Community Needs.
Brought to you by the following sponsors:

We would also like to thank our Parish, PSF (parents of St. Francis), our SAC (school advisory committee), and all of our annual members of the Knights who own businesses throughout our council. Without these supporters, we could not do everything we do in the community. If you are interested in sponsoring an event or our annual newsletter, please click here and send us a form.
Chapter Meetings Every 2nd Monday - Each Month 6:30 PM.
Brother Knights, Greetings,

The new year is in our rearview mirror, and as it faded you hit the ground running.
We supported the school fun night, serving over 170 linguini dinners with all the tasks that go into an effort of that size. After the dishes were done, it was clear that we have a newly discovered cooking asset … none other than our Worthy Recorder Jay!
As the next month and a half evolve, we have five more dinner/lunches to support. As the time for the next cooking adventure gets close, I’ll send out a notice to those that volunteered and possibly ask for more volunteers if we are short of help, kind of like your dentist calling to remind you of an appointment for a root canal! At this point I should interject a comment from one of our senior worthy Knights “hey, we are not a restaurant”! Good point, but in some ways, we are a bit of a “fast food” service. And yet there is another food rumor, that we are going to support the “men’s Conference” in April. I can say with 100% confidence that I have no idea! So, stay tuned.
On another note of service, there was a disruption at the school mass on Wednesday, January 22. The school has developed protocols to make our church and children safe, and as Knights of Columbus, we are safeguards and going to provide assistance each Wednesday in support of that safe environment. (Jeff Gates - February 26th, Kevin Smith - March 5th, Ric Secor - March 19th, Tom Andrade - March 26th)
For these Wednesdays, I’ll develop a list of duties and ask Scott Vincent to edit and approve them. In the meantime, arrive before 8:00 am, locate the sign-up sheet and have everyone that enters through the north door sign-in (all the other doors are to be locked). Check the following after Mass starts: men’s room, Guadalupe Chapel, Saint Clare’s Chapel. If you encounter a person that could be disruptive, ask them to leave if they do not leave, call 911 non-emergency 541 693-6911. Ask for a PD unit and have the person trespassed. Do not allow them to enter the church.
For our monthly meetings, our meeting room has been moved to the school library, a much better location, we have room to grow! Our next meeting is March 10th, please join us.
Vivat Jesus
