Chapter Meetings Every 2nd Monday - Each Month 6:30 PM.
Greetings Brother Knights:
By the time you read this the dust will have settled (I pray) here is a brief summery of the events, dinners, maintenance work, and conferences the Knights have supported over the past month or so.
Quick Event Overview:
September 1st: Burrito Sunday
September 4th: Moved and hauled stored material from the Sisters Juill Street Convent to the recycling center and /or landfill
September 14th: Cooking and serving hamburgers and hot dogs, supporting the fund-raising event for the historic church phase 2.
September 21st: Set-up, take-down and cooking and serving burritos in support of the Dr Mary Healy event, (approximately 350 attended the conference)
September 27th: Moved and set up tables, canopies at the Jill Street Convent
September 30th: Recovered tables and canopies and return to Saint Francis
October 3rd: Supported of the Saint Francis golf tournament.
October 4th: Installed and complete the Knights of Columbus monument to the unborn. Service call to the Jill Street Convent.
October 6th: Burrito Sunday.
October 7th: Hosted a dinner for the Sisters of John Bosco.
October 10th: Hosted a dinner for ALPHA, (about 80 attendees)
October 11th and 12th: Set-up/take-down and serve lunch in support for the Baker Diocesan Pro-Life Conference.
October 14th: Our monthly meeting beginning at 6:30 pm.
October 17th: 4th Degree Dinner Olive Garden 6:00 pm (63459 N Hwy 97, Bend, OR 97701, USA)
November 3rd: Community Pancake Breakfast after morning masses.
Please continue to visit There you go, a lot of activities, and along with that list goes a major thank you to all the Knights, that contributed time and labor to successfully meet the necessary support we provided to our Catholic community. Bless each of you!
Cans and Bottles
Our program manager Steve Pederson reports collections are off by about 25% please remind our donors to drink more! Also, it has been over a month since we packaged cans, Steve will be sending out an “offer” for help.
Coats for Kids
Our "Coats for Kids" cases of coats are in (and stored at Brents home) we will be distributing coats next week (October 15th through October 18th ) based on Brent’s availability; stay tuned.
The rest of October and November look less demanding, however based on what we have accomplished over the past several months you can anticipate yet another, long awaited, “Broken Spatula” drawing!
In closing, please keep the victims of Hurricane Milton and all the helpless souls exposed to the daily horror of war throughout our world in your prayers.
